Grant Thornton Advisors LLC in the U.S. has announced an agreement to acquire professional services firm CBIZ. Upon closing, Grant Thornton U.S. is expected to become the fifth-largest provider of professional services, tax and advisory services in the country, with annual domestic revenue exceeding USD 5 billion. The transaction represents the largest of its kind in more than 25 years.
Following the combination, Grant Thornton Advisors will operate across more than 20 countries and territories, generate nearly USD 7.5 billion in revenue, and employ more than 34,500 professionals throughout the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and the Asia-Pacific region.
